As we move halfway into 2020, I would have never imagined we’d be in the middle of a global health pandemic. Yet to believe we’ll emerge as anything less than stronger than ever is equally unfathomable.

***Positivity, strength, and teamwork will once again guide us safely to solid shores. ***

I previously mentioned why it’s important to [stay positive despite volatile times](https://www.cafworldwide.com/blog/why-its-vital-to-stay-positive-within-this-volatile-market). This still rings true, especially with light beginning to appear at the end of the tunnel.

### **Emerging Stability & Support**

In late June, industry publication [*American Shipper*](https://freightwaves.com/news/strong-volumes-spilling-over-into-capacity?utm_source=piano&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2630&pnespid=kbZk8aZAWFeN__8MOGzrVUIoIcvLgfnOQwxH_Ebr) reported freight volume upswing and continued improvements. It also noted the softening of 105 previously predicted trans-Pacific blank sailings. There were only 26 cancellations as of mid-June.

While we still have a long journey ahead, remaining positive and strong will sustain our industry through 2020 and beyond.
